Ad Final

These are the final pieces for the Alien Touch Tattoo ad campaign. I changed the main color to green because it was more visually appealing, and made it easier to make out the text within the fingerprint. Originally, the text did not contain the words "on your skin." I added them so the connection to tattoos would be clearer. I maintained the same layout and kept it minimal since most tattoo magazines are so busy and full of artwork.

Ad Design in Progress

I made a few changes with the three ads below. Instead of the alien image, I decided to apply the slogan as the optical illusion within the fingerprint. In addition, I thought it would be cool to give a question in each piece. The questions themselves are interesting because they play off of two separate definitions of the word "impression" (1. an impression such as the finger print & 2. an affect retained as remembrance of experience). With regards to art, it can also be relevant to the impressionist nature of the design itself.

This design is similar to some ideas I had in my initial stationery design. This is the feel I was going for with a single image and some text to compliment it. Although, I believe it was a good idea not to mess with an image connected to the logo of the company. Therefore to avoid confusing the public, I decided not to push forward with the same fingerprint image.

Unique Fingerprint

I came across another fingerprint containing an optical illusion. I worked with this idea in early versions of my stationery. This made me interested in pushing this idea with my ad.

Brochure Final

This is the final piece for my direct mailer/brochure. It folds up to about the same size as a CD (similar to the Lexus direct mailer I was inspired by in previous post). This way it could have the same postage as a CD mailer. The outside is less colorful than the inside. It was a figurative way Alien Touch Tattoo opening up its arms of art to the recipient of the brochure. I am pleased with how the layout turned out. Its easily understood and straight to the point.
