Stationery Final
This is the finale for the stationery design. Again, I went for a cool, calm look for the groups of individuals that may be a little scared or nervous about getting a tattoo or piercing. I wanted to emphasize on the goodness of tattooing: colors, expression, etc. I chose to keep the brushes as part of the design. It relates to the immense amount of shapes and forms allowed in the art of tattooing (that is invading your world along with color :). I maintained consistency with the curves on the top corners of the white space. It was a simple change that brought all the pieces together.
Stationery Work In Progress
At this point I found a unique group of brushes. It contained ornamental forms and shapes similar to many popular tattoo styles. I found it ironic that many of forms and shapes gave off an extraterrestrial feel as well.
I temporarily became attached to the gradient. I felt like the color scheme made it a visually appealing design element.
Final Logo
This is the final logo for Alien Touch Tattoo. I decided to go with the cool colors, (royal) blue and (neon) green, to give it a calm feeling and still have it draw attention to itself. There is a texture-based gradient on the alien head to give the effect of tattoo ink. When it goes grayscale, it really mimics the essence of a tattoo applied to skin surface. As far as typography goes, I made sure that I maintained a balance between "alien touch" and "tattoo." I also wanted to make sure that the text gave off a an extraterrestrial vibe through its kerning and size relationships.
